A limited edition blended malt, made up of 28 different single-malts. All blended single-malt whiskies come from distilleries owned by Dr Nick Morgan of Diageo. Collectivum XXVIII is bottled at cask, boasting natural cask strength of 57.3%. Whilst the age of the whisky is likely 10 years old at most (due to one of the distilleries only beginning production in 2012), it does not disappoint. Given its price point and possible single-run release, Collectivum XXVIII is a great choice for any collector. Best enjoyed slowly with a drop of water.
Nose: Sponge cake, shortbread, fruity malt, beeswax.
Palette: Medium body of fruit cremes, vanilla, tangy honey.
Finish: Orchard fruits, mild nuttiness, waxiness.
